Thanks to its favourable position, the city can easily be reached from the biggest international airports in Central Italy: the airports of Florence, Pisa and Bologna.
The "A. Vespucci" airport of Florence
The Airport of Florence is the closest airport to Prato: it is located in Peretola, just 10 km away from the city centre. Other major Tuscan cities conveniently connect to the airport by the A1 and the A11 motorways.
The airport does not have its own train station, but Prato is easily accessible by bus.
There are currently two bus services connecting the airport of Florence and the city of Prato. You should allow 30 minutes for your journey to Prato from the airport.
Autolinee Toscane: The bus service runs every 15-30 minutes all day long (not at night). The bus stops at Prato’s Central Train Station, Questura (main Police Station), Ferraris, Soccorso and S. Marco square.
Caronna Tour: The Sky Bus lines, run by Caronna Tour, connect the airport of Florence to Prato. The bus stop is located in Viale Leonardo da Vinci, in front of McDonald’s. The service runs three times a day from/to Prato: in the morning, in the afternoon and at night.
Getting to Prato by car from the Airport of Florence is very easy: follow directions to motorway Autostrada A11 (Firenze-Mare) and exit only after 5km in Prato Est or after 13km in Prato Ovest.
The airport does not have its own train station, but the PisaMover service runs daily every 5/8 minutes and links the airport with the central station.
A shuttle bus service connecting Pisa airport to Prato is provided by Caronna Tour.

Pisa International airport is very close to the motorway (tollbooth Pisa Nord). From there, take motorway A11 towards Florence. Exit Prato Ovest is about 65 km away from Pisa, while exit Prato Est is about 73 km away.
The airport of Bologna is one of the main airports in Italy. Its strategic position constantly increases its importance.
The airport has not a direct connection to the national rail network. A high-frequency shuttle bus service and the People Mover service link the airport with Bologna's Central train station (where you can take the train to Prato) in a few minutes.

If you want to reach Prato from the airport, just take the A-road and enter the A1 motorway in Bologna Casalecchio, direction south, then exit in Calenzano (84 km away).
