Getting to Prato by car

Prato is well connected to the rest of Italy and is reached by the motorway A1 Milano-Napoli (known as the Sun Motorway and considered the spinal cord of the Italian’s road network, since it connects Italy from North to South) and the motorway A11 Firenze – Pisa Nord. All stretches are run by the company Società Autostrade per l'Italia.
A broad network of A- and B-roads connects Prato to Florence, Pistoia and Bologna. The route SS 325 links Prato to Bologna and passes through the Bisenzio Valley (towns of Vaiano, Cantagallo and Vernio).
